<\/figure>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\nBarbara Leporini<\/strong> is an associate professor in Computer Science at the Department of Informatics, University of Pisa. Barbara received her PhD in Computer Science at the University of Pisa in 2003 with a dissertation on accessibility and usability subject related to websites. Before becoming a professor at the university, Barbara worked as a senior researcher in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) at the CNR in Pisa (ISTI). Barbara investigates methods and tools to make user interfaces accessible and usable to users with special needs. She participates in several projects in the field, for some of which she serves as coordinator as project or task unit manager. She is the author of numerous publications, and she has been speaker in many national and international conferences. Beyond research and teaching, Barbara has been participating in boards and groups working on education and accessibility applied to various and different areas. In particular, she has been collaborating with the working group on the requirements defined by the Italian law on accessibility. She is currently also a member of the Board of Directors of the National Institute for Research, Training and Rehabilitation (I.Ri.Fo.R.) and a member of the National Board of the Italian Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Link: https:\/\/people.unipi.it\/barbara_leporini\/<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Nicola Forgione<\/a> (UNIPI-DICI) – Scientific director<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nicola Forgione<\/strong> is a Full Professor in Nuclear Plants at the Department of Civil and Industrial Engineering (DICI), University of Pisa. He obtained both his Master\u2019s Degree and PhD in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Pisa. His academic career at the university spans nearly two decades, having previously served as an Assistant Professor from 2007 to 2014 and as an Associate Professor from 2015 until his promotion to Full Professor in November 2023. He holds several key institutional and academic roles. Since November 2018, he has served as the President of the MSc Programme in Nuclear Engineering at the University of Pisa. He is an active member of the Council of the Engineering School (since 2016) and the PhD Council in “Industrial Engineering” (since 2013). At the instructional level, he teaches core courses including “Nuclear Plants I” and “Control of Nuclear Plants” for the MSc in Nuclear Engineering, “Principi di Ingegneria Nucleare” for the Bachelor\u2019s in Energy Engineering, and “Informatica Applicata” for the Bachelor\u2019s in Mechanical Engineering. As the Head of the Nuclear Thermal-Hydraulic Simulation Laboratory (NTHS-Lab) at DICI, his research activities focus closely on the thermal-hydraulic analyses of operational and accidental transients for Generation IV nuclear power plants and nuclear fusion reactors<\/p>\n\n\n\n Link: https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/ateneo\/organizzazione\/persone\/nicola-forgione-8875\/<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Davide Moroni<\/a> (CNR-ISTI) – Scientific director<\/p>\n\n\n\n Davide Moroni<\/strong> is a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Information Science and Technologies of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR-ISTI) in Pisa, where he leads the Signals and Images Lab (a role he has held since April 2018). He received his M.Sc. in Mathematics with honors from the University of Pisa (2001), a diploma from the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa (2002), and his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” (2006). His research expertise encompasses geometric modeling, computational topology, image processing, computer vision, and discrete geometry. He has co-authored over 50 scientific publications and is actively involved in numerous European research projects.
